Arc Healthcare is a natural medicines practice dedicated to providing the best holistic healthcare embracing a range of natural therapies aimed at empowering you, the client, to make the best possible health choices. Whilst recognising the holistic framework of health and disease, it is also vital to have a good understanding of the biochemical and physiological functioning of the body. At Arc Healthcare I apply the latest scientific research, and often use laboratory tests to help determine the best ways of supporting the body, and also to audit how your body is responding to treatment. Most of the tests I use are designed to measure how well your body is functioning and are not diagnostic of disease.
I believe that radical changes in our diets combined with environmental pollution call for a new approach to health and illness. Many of our modern health problems are directly linked to the gradual accumulation of toxins over many years, which can slowly clog up our bodies displacing vitamins and minerals in enzymes, cells and organs. In fact, it is only when the body becomes overwhelmed that symptoms often develop. I always endeavour to unravel the possible reasons behind the symptoms and try to encourage the body to rediscover its own healing capacity. Holistic medicine takes mental, emotional, physiological, biochemical and structural imbalances into account. Treatment can be personalised according to your needs. Therefore, two people with the same diagnosis are unlikely to be following the same recommendations, since it is not the disease that requires treatment, but the person as a whole.
